[font=Georgia:f0ee11ef1e][/font:f0ee11ef1e] Hello I am wondering How to file a Quick Claim deed or a Warrenty deed for a House my Husband has given me. as part of settlement in an unsettled Divorce. Please help because I am really lost .Thank you ~ Shelley PS We did not exchange $ for the house between each other if that matters ~ thank you
Shelley,

You should be able to contact the county office and get help there. Typically it would need to be signed by both parties with a notary present to place their stamp and signature, verifying all parties were present and signed legitimately. This is assuming that you already have a deed. If not you can find them online or have a local attorney prepare one for a fee.

Also, if there is an attorney representing you in the divorce he/she would be good place to turn to ensure proper execution of the transaction. They also would be important to notify if they are not currently aware of this tranaction betwen you and your former spouse. Unfortunately these situations seem innocent and often become larger than life.
