Adding a name to title without removing husband

Posted on: 14th Oct, 2008 02:35 am
Married two years husband wants to put me on title without having to pay a lawyer, no extra cash now a days.. so if we were to fill out the quit claim as follows would it fly? State of Wisconsin... may be nice to know.

Grantor: His Name
Grantee: His Name My Name husband and wife, joint tenants with right of survivorship.

Legal discription... etc... sign notarize good to go?
Thanks for your help.
Hi gsonasch!

Yes, you can definitely put your name in the property deed by the help of the quitclaim deed without the help of a lawyer. And the details that you have given here is also correct.

You will have to definitely notarize the deed and also record it at the county recorder's office.

Thanks.
