Grantor or Grantee

i would appreciate information on how to fill out a quit claim deed. i am confused as to if i am the grantor or the grantee. my name will remain on the deed and the other party will be removed.
Hi,

It seems there are 2 people on the property title, you and the person who'll be removed from the deed. Am I correct? If the other person wants to take his name off the deed and transfer his share of the property to you, he will sign the deed as grantor. You will be the one who'll receive his share of the property. Hence, you will have to sign as the grantee.

a grantee does not have to sign a quit claim deed.

the owner who relinquishes or transfer ownership rights is the grantor, and the person who receives those rights is the grantee.

only a grantor need sign a deed in this case.
