forged quit claim deed & affidavit of heirship.

Posted on: 02nd Mar, 2009 09:22 am
i have recently discovered that my name was forged by a family member on a "quit claim deed". my grandmother passed away in 2007, and i was suppose to receive a portion of my fathers part of the inheritance. i was never contacted regarding this, by any family member. my name was forged on the quit claim deed and the affidavit of heirship. this does not surprise me since my aunt has done this in the past and has also been to prison for similar actions. what would my legal recourse be ? i have already contacted the dallas da office and the dallas police department.

i can be contacted directly at ajwithrow@gmail.com
Hi anthony,

It's a serious crime to forge one's signature on the deed. I think you should immediately consult a licensed attorney who deals with such issues and file a lawsuit in a criminal court bringing charges of fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud against the perpetrator(s).
