Quit Claim after divorce

Posted on: 28th Sep, 2009 01:06 pm
If my ex-husband and I are both on the mortgage and title, would I also be a grantor as well as the grantee on the quit claim form? In other words, if I have a quit claim with only my ex as the grantor and me as the grantee, is the form valid?
i guess it's safe to say that you are the new, sole, owner of the property in question. in that case, what he's doing (solo) is transferring his interest to you. end of story. you need not be a grantor in that circumstance.
