my mother in law transferred the property to the daughter two months after the grandma died. Daughter promised the lady that she will take care of all her financial needs if she transfer the property if not she will leave her. the lady has no choice but to transfer since the grandma died who is been supporting the lady for so long and took the word from the daughter. Daughter moved out after few months after mother transferred the property to her name. Daughter helped out a little bit then moved out. Lady ended up renting out the property to supply her needs since daughter cant. Also daughter took the car. The lady is attempting to get all her properties back since daughter promises are not getting fulfilled. Can she still get the property and car.
Welcome electronicman,
Unless the daughter signs a quitclaim deed and transfers the property formally to the lady, she won't be able to get back the property and the car. The lady should ask the daughter to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property.
