i bought the land in my aunts name because my credit wasnt all that good, but i payed for the whole thing. now i wanna get rid of her name and put it under mine. what form do i have to fill out for that?
Hi alcaponyan!
You will have to fill in a quitclaim deed which your aunt needs to sign in your favor. You will then have to notarize the deed and record it in the county recorder's office.
Thanks.

Hi alcaponyan!
If this is a sort of gift transfer, then a quitclaim deed will be fine with you but if there is money involved in the process i.e. if you are purchasing the land from your aunt, then its better if you can go for a warranty deed.
Thanks,
Jerry
