I am getting a divorce from my husband of 20 and we have property in both our names. My husband said that he doesnt want any of the property that we have I wanted to know could we do the quitclaim and how does that work
hi cynthia,

as there is a mortgage in your property, your husband will have to use a quitclaim deed in order to transfer the property to you. once the property is solely transferred in your name, you'll be able to refinance your existing home loan in your name. you can contact an attorney and he will help you in this matter.

thanks
