I am now not in position to take over the property that is quick deeded to me. Can I give it back and how do I do it.
Hi marthas!
Welcome to forums!
You will have to sign a quit claim deed and reverse the transfer of the property. Once you do so, you can request the grantee to record the deed at the county recorder's office.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

So let me get this straight. I have a quit claim deed that is already recorded at the county office. I am now not in position to keep the property.
The next step for me to take would be signing another quit claim deed stating reversal of property and have it signed and filed at the county records office. Correct?

Welcome back marthas,
You are correct. If you do not want to keep the property, then you can sign a quit claim deed and transfer the property back to the grantor who had transferred it to you. That person would be considered as the grantee now. Once the deed is signed, it needs to be recorded at the county recorder's office.
