what age must the grantee be in QC?
I do not think there is an age limit to own property?
There may be for the grantor

To hold property, you must be competent. This is the same requirement as contract. So, if you are under 18, you cannot hold property. You could transfer the property in trust for the benefit of someone under 18, though.

Hello Guest,

Great question! Brian is right.

The grantor (person giving) must be of legal age. But the grantee (person receiving) can be a minor.

If you have any other questions regarding a quitclaim, please be sure to ask.

I think the age limit is only for the grantor not grantee.
