Posted on: 12th Nov, 2010 01:36 pm
my husband is dpoa of his mother, which i have just experienced with my mom, however since his dads passing 9 years ago mom is the only one on the house, his sister has agreed to live there and care for mom, can he legally quit claim deed his sister on the house with his mother? we really have no interest in the house.
Hi Guest,

Welcome to Mortgage fit,

Surely you or your husband's mother can quitclaim the property to your husband's sister legally.I do not find any reason why mom can not sign the docs? If she is in good health then there is no nedd to use the DPOA powers and she can directly quitclaim the property to her daughter......

As far s quitclaim is concerned you may visit below mentioned link for further queries......

Feel free to ask any further query if you have..........
