Quitclaim

Posted on: 28th Jan, 2009 06:49 pm
Hi,

I bought the house under my name and then got married and bought another house with my wife. My parents currently live in my first house and have paid off the mortgage with their money. Is it a good idea to just quitclaim them the house or go throught the selling process.

Thanks Advance for your advice.

Thomas
Hi Thomas!

Welcome to forums!

In my opinion, it's a good idea to quitclaim the property to your parents rather than trying to sell it off. But you should note that either your parents or you will have to bear the transfer fees and stamp doc fees.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
