We have a quit claim on my mother's house. She is 82 years old.
The house is in both my husband's name and mine. How do I handle the deed being my husband is recently deceased. The house is paid for, and I paid half for it as well as my mother.

Hi carmenguido,
You can remove your husband's name from the property deed by filing an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office. However, if your husband has left a will, then that needs to be probated. Once the probate is complete, then the property would be divided accordingly.
Thanks
