i think that my husband has made a quit claim deed to his son.
property in question is our personal residence, this home is titled in both our names wros. i believe that my husband has given his interest in the home to his son via "quit claim deed"
is this legal, and does that mean that my husband's son will own half my home upon my husbands death?????
thank you,
brenda

Hi Brenda,
If your husband's son has his name on the property deed, then he will be considered as one of the owners of the property. Upon your husband's death, he will own your husband's share of the property.
If your husband's son has his name on the property deed, then he will be considered as one of the owners of the property. Upon your husband's death, he will own your husband's share of the property.
If your husband quitclaimed his portion of the property, his son now owns whatever property interest your husband had in the property.
