if I quit claim my share to husband, then no one can put a lein on the property because I know longer owe it?
Hi donna!
Welcome to forums!
If you transfer the property solely to your husband and he becomes the owner of the property, then your creditors cannot place a lien on that property. However, if your name is mentioned on the property deed as the joint owner, then your creditors can place a lien on your property.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

so once I quit claim property to husband I am no longer on the deed right? So creditors can not place a lein on it?
Hi donna,
Once you quitclaim your property to your husband, you won't remain the owner of the property. In that case, your creditors won't be able to place a lien on that property.
