hello,

my wife acquired some property from her mother through a quit claim deed many years ago. i also acquired inhertance money during the time of our marriage. she now wants a divorce. is the property acquired from the quit claim deed and the inheritance money i recieved considered community property at the time of the divorce which should be divided equally?
Hi tpierce!

Welcome to forums!

As far as I know, property acquired prior to marriage or acquired as inheritance is not considered as a part of the community property.
