quitclaim

Hello, I would like to quitclaim my ranch to my son. Would this raise an eyebrow with the IRS and increase the taxes or would they remain the same until reassessed?

thank you,
Hi buffranch,

After you quitclaim the property to your son, then the property taxes would be reassessed and your son will have to pay the taxes as per the reassessment.

Thanks
