IRS Lien

i have an irs lien that has just been filed against me.. it states it is against any property i own or may own in the future. i want to file a quit claim deed and transfer ownership to my husband. is it too late to do this because the lien has already been filed against me?
Hi peg,

The lien has been placed against the property. In that case, if you transfer the ownership to your husband, then he would become liable for the lien. If he sells off the property, the sale proceeds will go toward paying off the lien.

Thanks
