judgement on property

A few years ago my sister was loseing her property and she quick claim deeded it over to us and we assumed payments, we just went down to refiance and we were told that there was a judgement on the property
are we responsible for this judgement
If you purchaseda peice of property with a judgement on it are you responsible for that judgement

Yes, if there is a judgment on the property which you have purchased, then you will be liable for the judgment. The lender may ask you to satisfy the judgment.
