Quitclaim deed and land contract problems.

Posted on: 19th Aug, 2008 02:46 pm
What outcome can I expect from this situation.I signed a quitcliam deed along with a land contract to someone under the premise that that he was to buy the house or that we would sell it and split the profits according to a verbal agreement. If he has recorded the deed, and won't redeed back too me,what can my lawyer and expect to happen? He lives in the house and pays the utilities ,but the utilities are still in my name?OK, I know I did alot of wrong things, but now I have to go to work to avoid serious problems.
Welcome gary,

good that you understand that somewhere you may have gone wrong. But I appreciate that you want to amend and move on. As for the contract, I suppose you shouldn't have gone for a verbal statement. The other party gets a chance to deceive you if there's a verbal agreement.

If the person is not willing to deedback the home, then you can consult your attorney and if possible file a partition lawsuit. Know about partition lawsuit from http://www.mortgagefit.com/know-how/removecoborrower.html#22313 .
