My siblings and I own our mothers house and it is getting in very bad shape. Can we do a quick claim deed and turn the property over to the city and would that make us not liable for any repairs to the house?

alice, you might want to alert "the city" that you plan to do this. they may very well be an unwilling grantee in this case. why not try to sell the home? depending on the overall condition, it might be enticing to someone who doesn't mind waiting to move in while renovation or rehabilitation of the home is done.
I think selling property will be better option
