I have been granted property via quit claim.. how do I find out if the are any leins on the property and am I responsible for taxes
You may be responsible for taxes depending on what kind of property interest you received from the grantor. Assuming you are now the whole owner, then you are responsible for the property taxes.

You can find out about liens by contacting a title company to prepare a property title report. They will do a title search to see if there are any liens.

Hi ldraughn,

jheard has rightly suggest you to go for a title search sto know whether there is any liens on the property.

You will have to pay the property tax as you are the owner of the property now.

Best of luck,
Larry
