i have a quit claim deed on a property i have not filed it with the records office yet. someone told me they put a lean on the property due to the previous person owing them. the lean came after i had a quit claim deed can i have it removed snce it does not involve me.
Hi Bobbie!

Welcome to forums!

Unless the lien is satisfied, you won't be able to remove it from the property. You can contact the previous owner and ask him to clear off the lien so that the property is free and clear.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
