specific quitclaim question

Posted on: 16th Oct, 2009 06:35 pm
I am signing a quitclaim deed to release my interest in a house to my ex-husband. Do I list both of our names as Grantors (or just my own) and just his name as the Grantee? We are both on the title currently and want only his name on the title.
You will need to just list your name as the Grantor and his name as the Grantee

since you are giving your share

Welcome watermelanie,

You can list both the names as grantors and your ex-husband's name as the grantee. However, consulting an attorney in this case would be a better option.
