Do we need a quick claim or ?

Posted on: 15th Jun, 2010 07:48 pm
We have a LLC that we are liquidating and dividing the assets between the two members that own the company.

We have a rental in Tempe, AZ that I will own in my Living Trust and need to know how to transfer the ownership from our closed LLC to my Living Trust? Is it a quick claim deed or something else? Also, I live in Pima County, do I need to come to Maricopa to file in person?

Thank you
Hi Melanie,

You can use a quit claim deed to transfer the property from your LLC to the living trust. The property deed should be filed at the county recorder's office where the property is located. If the property is located in Maricopa, then your will have to go there in order to file the deed.

Thanks
