my son is helping to pay the mortgage for many years. is it possible to quit claim it to him , while there is a mortgage on it
Hi anthonettehill,
It's quite possible for you to quitclaim the property to your son. However, since the mortgage is in your name, you will have to take permission from your lender. If you quitclaim it to your son and then have it refinanced in his name, I don't think the lender will have any objection to the quit claim deed.

Hi sammie!

You'll have to ask the present owner of the property to sign a warranty deed in your name in order to transfer the property in your name.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
