if my wife quitclaim deeds the house to myself, is the deed invalid and will the house remain marital property?
If she gives you quit claim then she no longer has ownership of property

Lot more depend on the fact that whether the property is purchased from both's earning after marriage or it was there before marriage. So if the propery is inherited before marriage it won't be counted as maritial property thus making it a valid quitclaim deed.
