Hi I have a situation were My husband and I have now seperated.
He purchased a home and my name was added to the deed at closing. He has now filed for a divorce. He and I have a son and I curruently still living in the home.My husband allowed the payment to get behind a files a chapter 7. Wells Fagro understand my husband has filed a chapter 7 but the done a loan modification lowering the payment and instrest rate on the home which make it easier for me to make the payment. My husband is wanting me to just move out without givivng me anything though. The loan is only in his name and I can't refinace in my name right now. what should I do?
hi ross,

unless you refinance the mortgage in your name, your husband will be liable for the payments. however, as your name is on the property deed, he will not be able to force you leave the property as you're one of the owners.

thanks
