hi, my husband and i have many properties together. his name is on the loans, my name is only on some of the loans and all the deeds. because of a differance of oppinion/ seperation-- i need to get my name off of some of the property. i do not want to continue to occur the tax...
can i sign a quit claim deed to remove my name before the taxes are paid. i realize i am still responsible for the current tax situation but i do not want have this continue to add up.
do i need a lawyer and does he need to sign the form as well? thank you for your time

Hi kps!
Welcome to forums!
You can use a quit claim deed in order to remove your name from the property deed. You can take the help of an attorney in order to get the property deed drafted. However, you should remember that your name will not be removed from the mortgage though you sign the quit claim deed.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
