i received a quit claim deed notarized and signed over to myself. i know filing it will make it public information but if i don't file it is it still legally my home?
Hi sumayah_goran,
It is always better to record the property deed at the county recorder's office. This will make the property deed valid and you would be considered as the legal owner of the property.
Thanks
