My husband wants to transfer his ownership on our home to me soley my means of quitclaim in ohio. We have 2 condos and are planning to live separately instead of divorcing. Will this work?
quit claim deed can be used to transfer ownership right. it has to be notarized.
note that quit claim deed does not guarantee that property is free from mortgage & taxes. you need to think about it.

I understand that he and I are still responsible for the mortgage an taxes even though my name will be the only name on the title, right?
Hi vree,
If the property is transferred to you with the help of a quitclaim deed, you'll become the sole owner of the property. However, if the mortgage is not in your name, then you won't be responsible to pay it off.
Thanks
