hi, my80yr dad is in the hosipal at this time. he is agreeing to a quit claim deed to my brother and myself. we have a lawyer and want to take care of this as soon as possible. i contacted the lawyer today and was told he will not be in the office tomorrow. i need to do something asap. is there any generic paperwork that can get this going? thank you lori
Hi jfpap,

A quitclaim deed needs to be signed in order to get the property transferred in your name. Your attorney will help you in drafting as well as filling out the deed. Once the deed is filled out make sure to record it at the county recorder's office.
