Hello We have a family cabin. Befor my grandmother died she put the property in 4 of her kids names, One is my father. The taxes havent been paid in 6 years and it is about to be tax forfited. Now I went and paid the taxes and my uncle and my father quitclaimed it to me. "WITH OUT THE OTHER TWOS CONCENT" Is that leagle. Can they put my name on the deed in their places.
Hi SANDMAN,
Your father and your uncle may have quitclaimed their share of the property to you. They cannot transfer the share of their other two siblings to you. Thus, they would be considered as owners of the property along with you. Unless, the other two heirs transfer their share of the property to you, you cannot remove them from the deed.
Thanks
