Quit Claim Deed

Posted on: 22nd Sep, 2010 10:07 am
i have p.o.a. over both my parents and we are having trouble keeping my brother off of their farm and the police will not arrest him because he always says he has permission from my parents so they want to quit claim deed the land to me so that i can legally arrest him because of all of this. but my dad has dementia so i sign all of his legal deeds. can i sign as his p.o.a. if they are deeding the property over to me?
Hi pamsmustang,

As you have a POA on your father's behalf you can sign over the property in your name. Once the property is transferred in your name, you will become the owner of the property and your brother will not be able come into the property.
