quit claim

My sister had power of attorney over my mother. My sister quit claimed my mother's name off of the property that I was joint ownership and put her name on. My mother was not aware of this.
I don't believe that is legal for her to use her power of attorney for her own self gain. I would contact an attorney right away on this if your sister does not reverse what she has done. If your mother were to pass away then she would get the house since she is on the deed.

I would also advise that your mother cancel the power of attorney and appoint someone more trustworthy, if she is able to.

i agree with lisa...you need to discuss this with legal counsel to ensure that your rights and your mother's rights are protected. it certainly sounds a bit shady.
