Hi, My gradfather's house is in his last name/family trust on the warranty deed. He want's to quitclaim deed the house to me, his grandaughter. Is he able to do that or do we need to go back to his attorney?
Hi Cheryl!
Welcome to forums!
Your grandfather will have to remove the property from the family trust and then transfer it to you. It will be better if he could contact a real estate attorney in this regard.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi Cheryl,
Welcome to Mortgage fit,
If there are number of trustees (living) apart from your grandfather in the existing trust, then there permission will also be required to transfer the property to you..So contacting an attorney is advisable in this particular situation...
Feel free to ask any further query if you have....
