I did this with my aunt and the property was transfered to me I thought the lawyers were just adding my name to the deed, anyway my aunt who is on the mortgage now has a problem she wanted to modify the mortgage and they told her it could not be done because of this. Should I just quitclam the property back to her or should I just add her name to the deed?

you can sign a quit claim deed and add her name to the property deed. once she becomes the owner of the property, she will be able to modify the mortgage.

What if I want her name off the mortgage cmpletely, is it possible for me to transfer the mortgage unto my name? because my name is solely on the deed?
