When my father married, him & his wife bought a house and he did a quit claim because she was getting the mortgage in her name. They have finished paying the mortgage and now he has passed away intestate in Nevada. Does that mean we as his children have no rights to his property?
Hi rjbrown!

Welcome to forums!

As the property is in the name of your father's wife, she is the sole owner of the property. You won't be able to claim it unless she adds your name to the property deed.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
