want to purchase some land, but it has lieu and internal rev. back taxes involved is there anyway to purchase legally? could you quit claim the land?
Hi jmh,
A quitclaim deed, unlike a warranty deed, transfers a real estate property from one individual to another without any warranty whether there is a lien on the property. This is why I think transferral of title of a property on which there exists a lien, is possible through a quitclaim deed. However, as a buyer you will have to take over the responsibility of the back taxes and remove the liens.
