My neighbors divorced 3 yrs ago. She wanted out. Divorce proceedings show he is the legal owner of the property. She received her equity, $90,000. Time passes, she returns to the relationship. He is in financial difficutly because of the divorce. They own a business together. She eventually, because of her good credit, takes over all financial responsibilities, and puts everything her name. Business, cars etc and he quit claims the house over to her. She refies the house in her name only. Now she wants out again, and is taking it all. Who is the legal owner of the property, and what rights does he have, if any?
This is a divorce law question, not property law.

Hi Vince.
Welcome to the forum.
He has quitclaimed all his properties to his wife. So his wife is the legal owner of all the properties that he has quitclaimed. Now he should check whether the deed was notarized or recorded on the recorder's office. If he can prove that the deed was in valid or he was pressurized to sign the deed then he can get back the property.
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
Best of luck,
Larry
