i am going through a dissolution. my spouse is the only name on the deed. my mortgage lender states that since this is the case i would have to purchase the home from my wife rather then refinance. is this true? a quitclaim deed is in the dissolution.
Hi wildwest45067,

In order to refinance the mortgage on your name, you should be on the title as well.So your wife should quitclaim the property to you/you purchase from her. These are the only two options left for you to take over the home and get mortgage.

Feel free to ask any further query if you have..........
