If doing a quickdeed isn't an option can my ex ask his folks to go on the loan with him? If so how would that work, what would they need to do?
hi lindylou,
from what you have mentioned it looks like your ex wants to refinance the house for which he is required to have the title in his name. but 'his folks' aren't ready to quitclaim their share to him. right? well, if this is the case, then your ex can obviously ask them to be on the loan along with him. this way they'd all be on the title and would all be responsible for the loan.

Well you are sort of correct. Both my husband and I are on title/loan. I want to file for divorce and really want off the loan. My husband has no desire to proceed with doing aything about anything! I can only do so much, go so far with getting info. for him but he needs to do the refin himself. So if i can get him to ask his folks to be on the loan what will he and his folks need to do?(husband is #1 on loan). I need to get on with my life soon.... Thanks
Hi lindylou,
If you are on both the title and the loan, you can quitclaim your share in the property to him and get it refinanced in his name to remove yourself from the loan. You can also request the lender to take your name off the loan. You can consider the option of a Novation agreement also.
