my husband did a quit claim deed to his ex-father-in-law. he stated that he was getting the home refinanced so his daughter could stay in the house. he was not able to get the house refinanced and now will not sign the house back over to my husband. my husband ex-wife filed for bankruptcy. what can my husband do about the house?

The bankruptcy filed by the ex-wife of your husband will not affect him. But as the mortgage is still in the name of your husband, he would become solely responsible for the mortgage dues. The lender will come after him in order to recover the loan balance.
