my ex and i both want her name taken off the house but i can't refinance right now and i'm also behind on the mortgage bc i can't afford the full payment every month. can we still do a quit claim and will that take her completely off the house?

Hi syamcire,

You can remove your ex's name from the property deed with the help of a quitclaim deed but she will still remain liable for the mortgage payments. If she agrees to this, then she may sign the deed and remove her name from the property.
