Welcome tcc2sqd,
A quit claim deed cannot be used in order to remove a deceased spouse's name from the property deed. The information given by Gunzijjistaff is completely wrong. If you want to remove your deceased spouse's name form the property deed, then you will have to file an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office.
