My wife and I own 2 houses. Our names are on both of the houses. We have homestead credit on our house and want to get the credit on both of them. My friend and his wife own 2 houses. One of the houses is in his name and the other is in hers. They both claim homstead credit on each of their homes. How can I take one of our names of each of the houses so we can claim this credit.
Hi Brooke,

I think each of you should sign a quit claim deed to transfer each one's interest in the properties to the other. This will make each of you own an individual house separately and claim homestead credit for each of the properties.
