What does a quick deed do?

Does doing a quick deed on a piece of property to your ex do away with your responsibility of paying note and put it entirely up to your ex to pay?
hello and welcome- no it does not. a quit claim allows you to remove or add a name to title but it does not affect the mortgage. to remove or add a name to the mortgage, you have to refinance.
