is there any chance of fraud in a quit claim deed

Posted on: 14th Feb, 2010 07:09 pm
am a tenant in a property that is in foreclosure, i rented the property 7 months ago, i fund out that the property was in foreclosure 2 months later, anyways i kept paying the rent. the problem is that 7 days ago came to me the original owners of the home asking me who rented the property to me, they presented to me with the original papers from the day of closing and as matter of fact they are in the foreclosure process under defendants but its appear to be that someone falsify his signature and issued a quit claim deed. right now i have to people claiming to be the owners of the house and i don't know what to do, may i go ahead and keep paying the rent to the same person? please help me.
Hi cossette,

As the property is in foreclosure, I think you should speak to the lender and keep on paying the dues to him if you want to remain as a tenant of the property. May be when the new owner purchases the property, he would be ready to let you rent the property.

Thanks
