Quitclaim reversed? or nulled?

Posted on: 26th Oct, 2010 07:27 pm
My elderly father has been duped out of 1.2 million over the past 2 years, in July it included a quitclaim deed to this loser for a property he had for years, it has a house etc on the property, not the house my dad lives in, nor the property he lives on...another property.
The end of September my father had a stroke due to the pressure from this person to give him more. We have reported this to the police and it is under investigation. We did find out that the deed was not recorded. Daddy setforth an affidavit that the property was obtained frauduantly, and then quitclaimed it to me and I had it recorded and paid the taxes due on it.

My question is this, the other family lives in the house and I want to evict them. I need to know where I stand on this, am I now the free and clear owner because I have recorded it, or is there another step I need to do prior to the eviction to be perfectly clear?
Hi travelnurse,

If you are the sole owner of the property, then you can ask the other family members to leave the property. As you're the owner of the property, you have the rights to evict them from the property deed. You can even take the help of an attorney and take his opinion in this matter.

Thanks
