Quit claim when there are "rights of surviorship"

Posted on: 30th Mar, 2011 05:55 pm
hi,
my six brother's and sisters and share the "rights of surviorship" to my father's house who died several years ago. for financial reason we would like to have only one of our names on the property or transfer the title to one name,

would a quit deed be the easiest way to make this happen? or what recommendations can you make.

thanks
linda
Hi linda!

Welcome to forums!

You and your siblings can use a quitclaim deed in order to get the property transferred to only one of the siblings. You and your siblings can contact an attorney and he will better assist you in this regard.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
